Flex Seal To Fix Awning

I consider this repair a temporary fix until i can replace the awing fabric later in the year.

Use a sealant that is uv resistant exterior grade and designed for seams and metal. Full selection including hard to find items merchandise accessories and more. First i washed the awning with soap and water. Flex seal spray is the most commonly used spray on liquid rubber sealer available.

I applied a strip to the underside and top of the awning along the threaded bead seam. However be careful with the overspray. The convenient aerosol spray allows for the easy application of flex seal with no brushes or rollers required. It can be a bit messy.

Since the problem area was on the very top of the awning that is exposed to the sun light i was able to successfully make the repairs using flex seal.
