Vinyl plank flooring is easy to install and comes in a variety of looks such as wood tile and stone. If you choose varnish instead of polyurethane to finish your floor you will want to make sure that you select a varnish or finish that has hardening agents added to it to give additional durability to the pine wood. Polyurethane is the better choice for a cabin sole. Because i selected finished decorative panels there was no need to paint the interior of my small cabin.

The wood look and feel suits me well. For a fun wall accent we also put up thin brick veneer. I have brought them home and sanded the old finish off and would appreciate comments on using varnish or polyurethane for the sole. Oil based finish will last much longer in comparison.

If it was our home i must say that i probably wouldn t have been as adventurous. The most natural but least water resistant film finish is shellac.
